Stress affects everything in your mind and body. When you are quite stressed it can affect your immune system, which does not help with a diagnosis of cancer.

Stress reduction practices, like meditation or mindfulness classes can help. You can begin by going online and downloading meditations and guided imagery sessions that you find relaxing. You can visit The Stress Institute or Mindful Living Network to find some tips.
