Products Guide
Everyone has unwanted hair on their body. Many people have earned to accept the hair as part of who they are, while others are actively trying to remove their hair. There are two ways to remove unwanted hair, which is either by a professional or by using over the counter products at home.
Professional Hair Removal
Electrolysis
A professional hair removal company typically uses electrolysis to remove unwanted hair. Electrolysis is a process which sends an electrical charge to the individual hair follicle that kills the cell that grows the hair. This is an outpatient procedure that is performed at a physician’s office. The cost of this procedure is typically high, so many people are not able to afford this type of hair removal. As a remedy, they may choose to concentrate on only one section of their body. Although electrolysis is a permanent solution, it frequently takes more than one procedure to remove all hair.
Salon Waxing
Another professional hair removal procedure is hot wax. A salon professional will recommend that you grow your hair to a specified length before coming in for your appointment. Wax is then applied to the area and strips are quickly pulled to remove the hair.
Over the Counter Methods
For individuals that are not able to afford electrolysis, there are products that you can buy over the counter which can be administered in the privacy of your own home. Although these products are inexpensive alternative, they do require constant maintenance and re-applications.
Waxing
There are over the counter wax products that individuals can heat in a pool of hot water or in a microwave. It is then applied to the desired area. Once the wax cools, it adheres itself to the hair on the body so that when the tear sheet is used, the hair is successfully removed. Waxing is considered to be a painful procedure by some individuals and may leave a rash or red blemishes for a few days.
Creams
Another method is the use of creams. There are creams available that need to be left on the area for a designated amount of time and then washed off. A good example of this type of product is Nair.
Buffer
